The Advanced Allocations solution allows the user to use actual general ledger entries, statistical entries or quick key allocations as a base for allocating entries posted to an overhead Dimension like ADMIN, for example. Typical uses for Allocations would be allocating fringe benefits using the same allocation percentage used for salary expense or statistical entries allocated by head count or square footage for rent expense posted using specific Dimensions related to the employee’s positions.
